Rum Cobbler

1 ½ oz Gold Rum

1 slice of lemon

1 slice of orange

2 ts white sugar

1 dash Peychaud Bitter

1 dash rose water

Guarnish: Mint leaves

It’s prepared using the Shake & Strain technique with crushed ice, and should be filtered, possibly, in a Cobbler glass filled as well with crushed ice. Decorate with plenty of seasonal fruits, preferably berries, and serve with straws.

The Cobbler cocktails were born in America. These drinks are not too alcoholic, and are perfect for warm weather because of their freshness. Since the 1830s, they introduced two very modern elements: the use of straw and ice in mixology and cocktails’ consumption.
