Demerara Distillers

Distillery founded in 1770 in the South American region, which initially was a Dutch colony, and definitely passed into the hands of the British Empire July 21, 1831, the day when was formed the British Guyana. The only producer of Demerara Rum, made ​​from island sugar obtained from what is considered the best quality of sugarcane in the world, is the owner of El Dorado. It has 30 sugar factories and 11 distilleries, 7 in the Berbice region and 4 in the East Coast, which using various types of still, allow the assembly of completely different style of rum . In addition to El Dorado it is still possible to find some vintage and some selected products, with the specific name of the distillery.
