Pastis

Liquor produced in France obtained by macerating aniseed and licorice powderin a mixture of various ingredients. In 1922 Prohibition ended in France for the aniseed-based drinks, this year the producers Pernod and Ricard putted Pastis on the market, their recipe include the maceration of anise and licorice with added sugar. Since then have been proposed several recipes for this drink. It is usually served with water. It has an alcohol volume of between 40 and 45%.
